How this is calculated
There is no black box. Every result comes straight from the numbers you enter, with these steps:
questions handled = questions per month × share the bot handles
hours saved = questions handled × handling time ÷ 60
labour saved = hours saved × staff cost per hour
net saving = labour saved − your ovellan cost
This is deliberately an estimate, not a promise. We do not fill in an industry average for the share of questions a bot handles, because it varies too much between businesses. ovellan only answers from your own content and says it does not know when the answer is missing, so the more complete your content, the higher that share honestly climbs.

How do you calculate the saving?
From your own inputs. We multiply your monthly questions by the share the bot handles to get deflected questions, multiply that by your average handling time to get hours saved, and multiply those hours by your staff cost per hour. Then we subtract your ovellan cost. Every step is shown under the calculator.
Is this a guaranteed saving?
No. It is an estimate based on the numbers you enter. Real results depend on how many questions your content can actually answer. ovellan answers only from your own content and honestly says it does not know when the answer is missing, so a more complete knowledge base means a higher share handled.
What share of questions can a bot really handle?
It varies per business, so we let you set it instead of inventing a number. Repetitive questions about hours, delivery, returns, pricing and stock are the easiest to automate; complex or sensitive cases should go to a human. Start conservative and raise it as you see real results.
Does the calculator send my data anywhere?
No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type here is sent to a server or stored.
