AI chatbot affiliate programmes, compared honestly
We run one of these programmes, so read this knowing that. What follows is the part most comparison pages leave out: which numbers decide what you actually earn, and where our own programme is the wrong choice.
The four numbers that decide your income
In that order of importance, which is close to the reverse of how programmes advertise themselves.
The headline rate is the least important number
Every programme leads with its highest rate. What decides your income is the rate you are actually on, which is usually the entry rate, and how long it keeps paying.
Duration beats percentage
20% for as long as the customer stays pays more than 30% for twelve months, as soon as that customer passes about two years. Check the duration before you compare percentages.
Recurring or one-off
Some programmes pay a percentage of the first payment only. On a subscription product that is a fraction of what recurring commission is worth, even at a much higher percentage.
The cookie only matters for slow buyers
B2B software is a slow decision, so a 30-day window really does lose sales that a 60 or 90-day window keeps. For impulse products it barely matters. Here it does.
The programmes worth checking
We deliberately do not print anyone else's commission numbers here. They change without notice, and a stale figure about someone else's programme is worse than none. Every link below goes to that company's own terms, which is the only version that is current.

Where our programme is the wrong choice
Commission runs for the first 12 months of each customer and then stops. Programmes that pay for as long as the customer stays will out-earn us on any referral that sticks around for years. If your audience produces long-lived customers, pick one of those instead. We would rather you read that here than find out later.
We are also new. There is no conversion data to show you yet, which is the first thing any experienced affiliate asks for, and a fair reason to wait.
What we do have: everyone starts at 10% and climbs to 30% on active paying referrals, the rate you reach stays fixed on the customers you already brought in so a rank change can never claw anything back, and from the third rank there is a discount on your own subscription too.
Questions affiliates actually ask
Which chatbot affiliate programme pays the most?
There is no single answer, because the highest percentage and the highest payout are rarely the same programme. A lower rate that keeps paying for the life of the customer beats a higher rate that stops after a year, as soon as your referrals stay long enough. Work out which of the two your audience produces before you pick.
Do I need a website to join a chatbot affiliate programme?
Not for ours. Consultants, agencies and freelancers who recommend tools to clients in person are accepted, because a recommendation in a meeting converts better than a banner. Other programmes vary, so check before you apply.
How long does it take to get paid?
Most programmes hold commission for a period first, so refunds can be deducted before money moves. Ours holds every commission for 30 days, then pays monthly on the 15th once you pass €50.
Where is Ovellan's programme weaker than the alternatives?
